This includes everything from the boy scouts to all the town fire engines at the end! Kids run along the side of the parade, hoping someone will throw candy. They usually end at a town square or on the dock over-looking water, where guns sound a 21 gun salute. Depending on the town a local fair might be set up with strawberry shortcake available. Larger towns might have a small midway with rides. And, then, there are of course, the fireworks. Altogether, a family day, with a lobster bake or barbeque in the works for many.

THURSDAY- July 5, 2012

We went to Camden, Maine for lunch yesterday
to look around and people watch.
See the pictures of things we saw!
See SEWING NOTIONS, Maine Musings

As the 4th of July gets closer houses, and other things, in Maine get trimmed out with red, white, and blue!

[6,2,3
