After a cold windy weekend with snow the temperatures have soared into the ’50’s! A most unseasonable beginning of the month!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Everyone’s thoughts seem centered on the holiday season. While unseasonable, the lack of snow certainly makes it easy to get out and do errands! And it is certainly pleasant for taking walks as well.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Last winter we inherited a dog, Spot.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Spot is probably a bearded collie mix. He is around 90 lb. When he arrived he was missing a lot of hair, including most off of his tummy, feet, and tail. He has a systemic yeast infection, and has been exposed to Lyme disease. He was a mess.<\/p>\n

Most of his issues are under control, and he is now at home here.<\/p>\n

His main preoccupation is squirrels.
\nHe would like to herd them.
\nIf he could climb a tree to do so he would!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Digging to get to them works as well!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

At first having Spot was like having a two year old!
\nBut, as he has settled in, he has calmed down…
\nthank goodness!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Maine many beaches are closed to pets during the summer season. But, come November they are open for pets. About a month ago I started going down to one of the beaches nearby. I enjoy the walk, and Spot enjoys it as well!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

THURSDAY- December 6, 2012<\/b><\/p>\n

Well, the temperatures dropped back down to a normal range. But, the ground is not white and pretty, but is now frozen mud, from the freezing, thawing, and refreezing! But, the bright sun makes up for that!<\/p>\n
