Strawberries, the 4th of July, and luna moths!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, for the first time in a couple of weeks, the sun came out! We have had so much rain there is standing water everywhere- fields, ditches, lawns.<\/p>\n<p>Taking advantage of the unexpected, Spot and I headed to the farm stand to get strawberries.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/July\/strawberry-a.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\">We got sixteen quarts to freeze for the winter. There is nothing like strawberries to bring a summery feel during a cold, snowy winter! After twelve quarts were safely hulled and frozen, we went for a walk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\">An unexpected sighting was a luna moth!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/July\/luna-a.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\">LUNA MOTH<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\">It was about four inches across,<br \/>\nresting, wings spread, on some ferns.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\">Further on the briar roses were blooming.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/July\/rose-500.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/July\/rose-500-b.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\">Today is foggy,<br \/>\nbut, we hope to get out for another walk this evening.<br \/>\nPerhaps we will see the luna moth again!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 1- hard to believe!
