This week has been all about butterflies and bugs!
\nUpholstery weight or printed,
\nbutterflies fabrics and bug fabrics have been on the move!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"ORANGE<\/a>
ORANGE BUG FABRIC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

<\/p>\n

We have carried the orange insect fabric since it came out.
\nThis is an upholstery weight fabric,
\nwhich we also have in a tan.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And, it comes in grey as well.<\/p>\n

For those that like fabrics with writing we have the
\nblue butterfly document print fabric.<\/p>\n

This has butterflies done in many shades of blue,
\nfluttering over a background of writing done in neutral tones
\non an oatmeal background.<\/p>\n

It is pretty!<\/p>\n

It also came in a colorful variation with oranges and lime,
\nwith yellow, lilac, and blue.<\/p>\n

For those that want bold-
\nthere is the bold and beautiful butterfly fabric.<\/p>\n

This is a huge pattern with boldly colored butterflies.
\nTheir name is written near them.<\/p>\n

This has been done on a very heavy linen\/cotton fabric,
\nthat is suitable for upholstery work.<\/p>\n

Also fine for upholstery are two other butterfly fabrics.<\/p>\n

Also large, this has subtly colored butterflies done in shades
\nof violet, green, and bluish purple.
\nSmaller butterflies, done as toile, fill the spaces between.
\nThe background is oatmeal.<\/p>\n

The other color has autumnal coloring.<\/p>\n

One of the most amazing things I saw one fall,
\nwas the monarchs migrating south along the coast of Maine.
\nThis fabric reminds me of that.<\/p>\n

So, why use a butterfly or bug fabric?
\nWell, one might be an\u00a0entomologist.
\nOr, one might just like butterflies.<\/p>\n

But, I think these large prints serve a different purpose.
\nI think they can do two different things:
\nexpress a feeling or give a jolt to a room.<\/p>\n

The blue butterfly fabric and the orange and green butterfly fabric
\ndefinitely give a sense of happiness.
\nWhile the large, boldly colored butterfly would definitely give a
\n“POW” factor to a room.
\nA pair of pillows with that fabric could really liven up a room!<\/p>\n

The bug fabrics, have a smaller scale,
\nbut, they are packed with interest.
\nAny of the colorways would add interest to a decorating scheme.<\/p>\n

There are other fabrics with bugs and butterflies.
\nBut, they tend to be patterns with the insects used for additional interest,
\nsuch as florals, rather than being the highlight of the fabric.<\/p>\n
