So, I said I would try to add two new
\nSchumacher Greeff fabrics to the website every week.<\/p>\n

Well, this week, I added seven!<\/p>\n

STAFFORDSHIRE FIGURINE FABRIC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

<\/p>\n

The Staffordshire Figurine fabric is an old favorite!
\nThis has a variety of different figurines and vases,
\nwith flowers,
\non a red background.<\/p>\n

It is filled with color and details.<\/p>\n

This is an 11 yard piece.<\/p>\n

The second fabric listed is an Asian toile.<\/p>\n

This has a quaint charm.
\nIt shows a man passing a pavilion on a lake,
\nwhere men are standing.
\nNearby is a fisherman,
\nand above is a man sitting.<\/p>\n

There are lots of details.
\nI love the soft coloring!<\/p>\n

This is a 4 yard piece.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The four other fabrics are small pieces.<\/p>\n

Greeff’s Summer Song is a vintage piece.<\/p>\n

This shows a hedgerow with fruit, flowers, leaves,
\nand birds.<\/p>\n

The coloring is soft,
\nwith pastel greens, blues, pink, salmon, and gold.<\/p>\n

Not a big piece, but
\nit is enough for a few pillows or small curtain.<\/p>\n

On nearly the opposite end of the design and color scale
\nis Greeffs Pheasant Arbor.
\nIt is over sized in scale, and bold in color.<\/p>\n

This has a very large repeat- 39″
\nand would work well for long curtains
\nwhere a bold accent was wanted.<\/p>\n

The last bird fabric of the week is different again-
\nrather than a bold pattern,
\nthe pattern blends in with the background.<\/p>\n

This is Schumacher Greeff’s Whitney.<\/p>\n

The colors are mostly neutrals,
\nwith touches of soft colors,
\npunctuated by cobalt blue and brown.
\nThe effect is vintage.<\/p>\n

As the pattern disappears at a distance,
\nthis would be a good one for small applications,
\nwhere one could really see the design and colors.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The last two pieces are both bold,
\nin their own way.<\/p>\n

First is Schumacher’s Catania Toile.<\/p>\n

This has a tree of life pattern,
\ndone as a toile in shades of brown
\non a smooth wash of aqua blue.<\/p>\n

And, last of all is Greeff’s\u00a0 Litchfield Resist.<\/p>\n

This is a large pattern,
\nwith a retro look.<\/p>\n

Shades of brown on a buff yellow-
\nit packs a whallop!<\/p>\n

\u00a0All of these fabrics came in flat folded.
\nAll of them have fold lines.
\nThey have been in storage,
\nand may be dusty.<\/p>\n

But,\u00a0 many of these are true vintage pieces.
\nAnd,\u00a0 most are hand prints.<\/p>\n

They are unique in the fabric world of today.<\/p>\n

As the fabric industry continues to change,\u00a0 it is moving further and further away from traditional printing techniques and really nice ground cloths. It is understandable, but sad. The Greeff fabrics that we list are special. They are the last of an era.<\/p>\n
