We decided to change the format of the blog for a bit..<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The blog will be more of a random thing.. bits and pieces of what is going on in Maine, and in the fabric world.<br \/>\nLife in Maine in the summer is very different than in the winter.<br \/>\nBeing a state that is tourist oriented, the whole feel of life changes.<br \/>\nThe weather continues to warm,<br \/>\nthe landscapes soften with greenery,<br \/>\nStores that have been closed for nine months unboard.<br \/>\nAnd one sees the scraping of houses, as people get ready to paint<br \/>\nGardens are bloooming with flowers&#8230;<br \/>\nLife feels good.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">This year,because of the amount of rain we have had, the leaves are fully leafed out, and it is green, green, green!<br \/>\nLooking down the hill through the sunlight that is slanting in one sees the brown trunks of trees, and the sunlit leaves of maples and oaks.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/Blog_Maine\/maples%20green%20margined%20506.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Early June in Maine<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">This morning, upon getting up and looking out the window,<br \/>\nthe first thing seen,<br \/>\nwas the lone female turkey walking slowly across the field.<br \/>\nShe pecked her way up to the blue spruce, where food had been left out for her..<br \/>\nShe ate for about three minutes, and then continued up the hill.<br \/>\nShe has been seen resting in the lower field,<br \/>\nand across from the house,<br \/>\nin the middle of the blue bells, ferns, white bleeding hearts, and pulmonaria.<br \/>\nIt is always a surprise,<br \/>\nwhen\u00a0one is gardening, to see her head and neck suddenly appear-<br \/>\nshe startles one as much as one is startled by her!<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>COFFEE BREAK!<\/b><br \/>\nEvery Monday a large pitcher of ice coffee is made.<br \/>\nNot liking deep roasted coffee, Taster&#8217;s Choice does the trick.<br \/>\n(the groans of horror can be heard!)<br \/>\n5 rounded spoonfuls of the crystals to 2 cups of hot water,<br \/>\nadd ice cubes to bring it to 4 cups,<br \/>\nand there you go!<br \/>\nServe on ice, will last as long as you need!<br \/>\nFast, easy, and tastes just fine!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/Blog-recipes\/coffee.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">We are working to get all of the Schumacher Fabrics listed.<br \/>\nWe found the last three pieces of the ever popular Schumacher Greeff quail fabric.<br \/>\nThis is available with a tan background, a golden background, and a pale beige background.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/Blog-fabrics\/quail%20tan%20350.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>SCHUMACHER GREEFF QUAIL FABRIC<br \/>\n<\/b>The Schumacher Greeff quail fabric with the tan background has the most fall look to it.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/Blog-fabrics\/quail%20gold%20350.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The gold background has the richest coloring.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/Blog-fabrics\/quail%20pale%20350.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">The pale quail fabric has the most unique look of all of the<br \/>\nSchumacher Greeff quail family fabrics.<br \/>\nThe neutral tones with the lime green sets it apart.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">These\u00a0 can be found in both the<br \/>\n<b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/schumacher_fabric.html\">Schumacher Fabric category<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">and the<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/bird_fabric.html\">Bird Fabric Category.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; A beautiful day in mid-coast Maine&#8230; a nice way to start the week!
