We have three new fabrics listed!<\/p>\n

\"HORSE<\/a>
HORSE AND HOUND FABRIC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

<\/p>\n

Well, really only one new fabric,
\nas two we carried years ago.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with the new one,
\nit is a horse and hound fabric.<\/p>\n

This is very different from the
\nmajority of horse or equestrian fabrics
\nwe have had.<\/p>\n

It features vignettes of fields and trees
\nwith horses running and standing,
\nand with hounds standing and laying.<\/p>\n

There are three rows,
\nwith two vignettes alternating on each row.
\nSo, the pattern has a lot of interest.<\/p>\n

One of the things I like is the scale.
\nIt is fairly small-
\nthe scene with the running horses is about 8″ across.
\nThis is a big change for a pattern.
\nSo many patterns today have very large,
\nover-sized designs,
\nwhich means there is a lot of waste when using the fabric.
\nThis smaller pattern will not have that!<\/p>\n

The background is a neutral oatmeal tone,
\nwhich gives a country feel to the pattern.<\/p>\n

On to the two other fabrics!<\/p>\n

Years ago we carried an Oriental dragon pattern.
\nI was going through things,
\nand came across the sample for it.
\nI wrote the company asking if there was any stock,
\nand there was!<\/p>\n

So, we have it again.<\/p>\n

\"ORANGE
ORANGE CHINESE DRAGON<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The first is a bold rendition done in
\na coral orange strawberry tone.<\/p>\n

This features a herd of dragons amidst swirling clouds.
\nThere is a lot of motion to this pattern.
\nThere are the winding dragon bodies,
\nthe\u00a0 swirling clouds, and the floating Asian symbols.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The scale of this is very large-
\nfrom the tip of the horns to the claws below
\nthe dragon is about 20″.<\/p>\n

This has a unique background color-
\nit is a coral strawberry orange tone.
\nThe effect of the is bold and bright!<\/p>\n

Very different is the blue colorway.<\/p>\n

BLUE ORIENTAL DRAGON FABRIC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The busyness of the pattern is
\nsomewhat mitigated by the colors used for this variation.
\nSoft blue, grey, and sea green on cream
\nstrike a calmer note.<\/p>\n

I always think it is interesting how the different
\ncolors effect how a pattern reads.
\nThese two colorways are a prime example of it.<\/p>\n
