We have a new whimsical beast fabric-
\nin three colorways.
\nIt is lots of fun.<\/p>\n

\"WHIMSICAL<\/a>
WHIMSICAL EXOTIC BEAST FABRIC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

<\/p>\n

This fabric has a bevy of animals-
\na cheetah that stares right at one,
\na prancing peacock, an alligator roaring,
\nand there is a monkey, elephant, and horse!<\/p>\n

I love the funkiness of this!
\nAll the animals are patterned with spots, dashes, and flowers.
\nMy favorite thing is the horses mane of flowers-
\nI just wish he was not upside down to the
\nrest of the animals!<\/p>\n

The second colorway is yellow!!!<\/p>\n

All three of these colorways use the same colors
\nfor the animals.
\nBut, the because the colors of the animals interact differently
\nwith each background color,
\nthey appear to have different colors.<\/p>\n

And, the background color itself does influence how the
\ncolors reads to the human eye.
\nThe green is colorful without seeming too busy.
\nThe yellow variation is as bold as it can be-
\nit is a statement!
\nAnd the grey gives a sense of space to the pattern.<\/p>\n

Even though the coloring on the animals is not tonal,
\nthe background gives the pattern a sense of variety.
\nI find that interesting-
\nusually the background is solid,
\nand the pattern is filled with tonal variations.<\/p>\n

Another thing I like about this fabric is the scale\u00a0and the repeat.<\/p>\n

The elephant is about 12 3\/4″ long- not small.
\nBut, the horizontal repeat is 26 3\/4″,
\nand the vertical is 24″,
\nwhich is smaller than most fabrics today.
\nSo, these have a large scale pattern with a
\nfairly compact repeat.<\/p>\n

That makes these are easier to use with less waste.<\/p>\n

I really like whimsical beast fabrics.<\/p>\n

And, the Clarence House Fabric “Bali”
\ndefinitely fits into this genre!<\/p>\n

CLARENCE HOUSE BALI FABRIC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In this pattern large animals and birds are set in\u00a0irregular rows,
\nwith smaller animals and design elements filling
\nthe spaces between them.<\/p>\n

This pattern also has a large pattern
\nwith a small repeat.
\nThe peacock is about 8 1\/4″ wide,
\nand\u00a0<\/b>the horizontal repeat is just over 18″,\u00a0 the vertical – 18 1\/2″,
\nagain, smaller than the norm.<\/p>\n

We have this in two colorways-
\nmuted violet and dusty aqua.<\/p>\n
