While most of us use fabric for curtains, cushions,\u00a0upholstery, and
\nother home decor items,
\nsome people like to use for wall art.<\/p>\n

Back in the ’60’s it was fairly common to take fabric,
\nand stretch it on art stretchers,
\ncreating instant art for hanging.<\/p>\n

VENICE PAINTING FABRIC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

<\/p>\n

The Venice Painting fabrics work well for this,
\nas the pattern set up makes it easy for the design
\nto be used.<\/p>\n

If you look at the fabric,
\nit is easy to see how it can be divided horizontally for each scene,
\nor to cut to focus on specific elements.<\/p>\n

This is also available in an all blue colorway.<\/p>\n

The pink Venice is also an easy one to use.<\/p>\n

As the design elements are smaller,
\nit could easily be used for a series of small framed pictures,
\neach highlighting a specific design element.<\/p>\n

The horse racing fabric is another good one
\nfor small framed pictures.<\/p>\n

The large horses and jockeys can easily
\nbe sectioned out for stretching or framing.<\/p>\n

The Opt Art fabric can be used in many ways,
\nas the pattern can be used in more than one direction.
\nThe fabric can be cut for small stretched items,
\nvertically or horizontally.<\/p>\n

A group of these on a wall,
\nusing the design both as vertical and horizontal componants,
\nas well as square stretched pieces would be pretty interesting.
\nI love this pattern for this ability to keep the eye moving!<\/p>\n

One lady used the large shell fabric to
\ncreate a three piece triptych wall series.
\nShe divided it into three sections,
\nand mounted them on stretchers to hang.
\nI think having a large center piece,
\nwith smaller pieces on each side,
\nwould be interesting.<\/p>\n

Other people have used fabric to cover their walls.<\/p>\n

Some have glued it to the walls,
\nsome have had battens installed,
\nand then put batting on them,
\nprior to hanging the fabric.<\/p>\n

Either of these should be done by a professional.
\nHandling a full width roll of fabric,
\nand getting it square to ceiling and wall edges,
\nand unrolling it down,
\nis not easy!
\nPlus, there is pattern matching.
\nAgain, not easily done!<\/p>\n

The Angel Toile Fabric
\nis a good one for this,
\nas the pattern placement is an effective one for a room.<\/p>\n

Going in a different direction,
\nliterally,
\nis using something as a border at the top of a wall.
\nThe Coral Tree pattern could easily be used for this.<\/p>\n

While we all think of fabric use
\nfor curtains, upholstery, and pillows,
\nI think it is good to step back and think of other uses.<\/p>\n

So, take some time-
\nwho knows?<\/p>\n

You may be inspired to use it in different ways!<\/p>\n
