We have a new fabric-
\nit’s a fun woodland pattern,
\nthat has a high quotient of cute.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

And it it brought into focus how winter is fast approaching…
\nAfter all, Thanksgiving has gone by!<\/p>\n

Early winter brings cabin decorating into focus.
\nThere is an urge for decorating with totally different themes
\nthan those used during the summer.<\/p>\n

While the cabin look often embraces
\ntrees and forest designs,
\nmany people want more basic fabrics,
\nwith patterns used as accents,
\nrather than the other way around.<\/p>\n

Stripes often work in cabin decorating.<\/p>\n

The oatmeal beige stripe works well as a neutral starting point-
\nit is woven with a herringbone pattern.<\/p>\n

The brown serape stripe has a nice blend of colors-
\nperfect for cabins and lodges.<\/p>\n

We have another one that has a washed black
\nwith muted colors.
\nIt gives a nice relaxed look to a room.<\/p>\n

While most striped fabrics run up the roll,
\nClarence House Siam runs across it.
\nI love this-
\nit has a heavy wealt of tan,
\nwith thin stripes in the furrows of different colors-
\nbrown, green, and blue.<\/p>\n

Many lodges and cottages have decor
\nthat gives a sense of warmth.
\nWhether a large skiing lodge with large windows
\nor a small cabin in the woods,
\nthey seem to exude a sense of well being,
\nof comfort.<\/p>\n

One way to introduce this is by using fabrics with texture,
\nto create a sense of softness.<\/p>\n

Some of the Clarence House solids do this,
\nespecially those that are woven
\nwith chenille threads.<\/p>\n

One of my favorites to deliver this is
\nClarence House Fabrics’ Resina.
\nWhile we have this in gold,
\nI think the brown works well too.<\/p>\n

Sonoma, by Clarence House, is another chenille,
\ndone as a stripe.
\nWhile not as subtle as some stripes,
\nthe colors can light up a dark corner of a room.<\/p>\n

For color,
\nSalina in orange is a great choise.
\nIt is a tone on tone stripe,
\nit has great color that is not too startling,
\nand a nice feel.<\/p>\n

While solids and stripes are great,
\npersonallity is given to a room with pattern.<\/p>\n

For those that want a strong pattern,
\nin the right place,
\nAntalya is an option.
\nIt is a heavy upholstery weight fabric.
\nThe colors could be the starting point for a
\ncabin living room.<\/p>\n

One fabric that I think works well,
\nis the Clarence House Chanderi.
\nThis is a woven matelasse that is reversible.
\nIt would be great in a bedroom,
\nas a bed covering,\u00a0\u00a0for a chair,
\nor for curtains.<\/p>\n

For a crisp, clean look,
\nthere is the Scandinavian Tree fabric.<\/p>\n

\nhas a more full pattern,

\ndelivers a totally different look.
\nThough the tones are cool,
\nthe total look is soft.<\/p>\n

\nthe Fishing Hunting Toile would be a must!
\nIt has been printed to give a vintage look.<\/p>\n

One might not think in terms of paisleys for a cabin.
\nBut the vintage look of the large blue and grey paisley fabric
\nmight work.
\nThe scale is large,

During the holidays it might be nice to have a
\nfew accent pillows.<\/p>\n

The winter holiday wreath fabric is a nice one for that!

\nThis is a heavy upholstery weight fabric
