Spring is here!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The winter is finally over! There is still snow on the ground in places, and people are still moaning about the long winter. Last week we had snow- 6&#8243; and cold rain. The mud was intense! But, we also had had sun- 65 degrees F. and wind, which has melted snow, and dried out the ground. Spring in Maine is a balancing act between freezing and thawing, melting snow and flooding rivers, as the ground warms up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\">Last week the tops of snowdrops appeared, and this week they are blooming!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/April-13\/snowdrop-500-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And this week there are patches of early croci!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/images\/stories\/April-13\/crocus-500-g.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The weather this April has been what we normally have<br \/>\nin March. So, the small signs of spring seem doubly precious.<br \/>\nOver in the meadows there are still patches of snow, where Spot enjoys rolling.<br \/>\nBut, where the ground has dried out,<br \/>\nthere are sprigs of grass!<\/p>\n<p><b>_________________________________________<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\">We have, as everyone knows, been working on our<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brickhousefabrics.com\/indienne_fabric.html#.VS5wtOH-V_g\">Indienne Fabric category<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But, this week,<br \/>\nwe are taking a break,<br \/>\nand adding some new seashell patterns.<br \/>\nOne is a reversible coral starfish fabric.<br \/>\nThe other is a unique seashell mandala fabric.<br \/>\nWatch for these in the<br \/>\n<b>Fabric Blog.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>April 15th!
