Last weekend we took a short drive to
\nthe Rockport Camden Maine area.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There was plenty of sun in the sky, and snow on the ground!!!
\nOur first stop was in the Rockport Harbor,
\nfamous for being the home of
\nAndre, the Seal. His monument was buried in snow.
\nThis is a narrow, deep harbor that in the summer time is filled with boats.
\nThere is a nice park, that is wonderful for pic-nics in the summer,
\nand has plenty of snow to play in the winter!<\/p>\n

Continuing up the coast we stopped to see some of the
\nBelted Galloway herd.
\nIn the summer, the green fields are filled with them!<\/p>\n

Camden Harbor was quiet- the schooners laid up for the winter.<\/p>\n

We finished up our short trip with lunch at the
\nBoynton-McKay Food Co.,
\nlocated on Main Street.
\nThis is housed in an old apothecary shop, c. 1893.
\nThe walls are covered with cases, filled with antique apothecary items.
\nAnd the ceiling is hung with wonderful modern cutouts.
\nOne walks to the back, grabbing a seat on the way back- if one is lucky!
\nAt the back one places an order, then goes to the front,
\nand gets ones’ drink, and sit down.
\nSitting at the front window, is great for people watching!
\nThere isn’t any rush, and the food is great!<\/p>\n
