Large seashell fabric coastal ocean decorating

A seashell fabric with a very large scale indeed! There are scallops, nautilus, conchs, and many others. The background fabric is listed in the solid fabric category.

This is actually a colored toile. Wonderfully colored and shaded the shells are very detailed. One sees their turnings and growth lines. Deep brown red and mustard are balanced by sea blue and pale violet. The effect is rich and varied.

Colors are run from deep reddish brown, through red-orange, cranberry, gold, buff yellow gold, grey periwinkle, greyed blue, muted violet, and sea glass green. The colors have been layered and blended and many tones are seen. Details are in black, and the background is a a cool greyed brown. The threads have light and dark variations, giving some tonal differences to it. From a distance one sees deep reds, gold, turquoise, aqua, muted lilac, with yellow, on a tan background.

This fabric is 55 3/4" wide. The nautilus is about 9 1/2" long by 7"; the long shell above the large scallop is about 13 1/4" long. This is a light mid-weigh home decorating fabric. It has drape. It has a matt dry look and feel. It is perfect for curtains, cushions, totes, upholstery, etc.
