Camera film, with a photograph of a rose, forms a background of subtle vertical stripes on this fabric. Over this is part of a letter, in French, a stamp, and a small medallion with the word "Rose". Floating hydrangea heads, leafy branches, and single leaves have been added. The effect is dreamy.

Colors are tonal and over-printed, giving many shades of pink, smokey lavender, blue green, taupe, and charcoal, with touches of yellow. The effect is of soft shades of pink, lavender, and mauve, with hints of coral, and touches of yellow, with blue-green leaves against a tonal background of light and dark taupe with the darker writing. Depending on the light the background can appear more taupe or grey.
