A French mid-century fabric with the Eiffel tower. A Paris, France fabric with vintage French postcards!

Vintage French postcards overlap on a background pattern of woven stylized roses. Picture postcards of the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, and the Arc de Triomphe are shown, as well as the backs of different cards with postage stamps and writing. Over these are pictures of two woman- one is wearing a pillbox hat- by Coco Channel perhaps? The other wears one that might be a Schiaparelli! Red bows complete the look!

This fabric is woven of black, taupe beige, off-white, and red. The weaving is very fine, and many different weaves were used for the individual designs. The interweaving of the threads gives different shades of grey and tan. The effect from a distance is of beige with grey and black, punctuated by red. The effect is vintage.

This fabric is 62 1/4" wide. The postcard showing the Eiffel Tower tied with a bow is about 10" ( 25.40 cm. ) tall by about 6 1/4" ( 15.875 cm. ) wide. This is a woven upholstery fabric. It has a wonderful hand, and great drape. It is perfect for curtains, cushions, clothing, etc.
