Medieval fabric English German script brown toile

A wonderful documentary script fabric! This has many shields and coats of arms embellished with scrolling acanthus leaves. And in between them are pieces of documents written in calligraphy and other styles of penmanship. Added to the pattern are griffins, lions rampant, double headed eagles, and more! This is one of those patterns the more you look, the more you see.

This toile fabric is done in deep brown on a cool greyed tan background. The threads have light and dark variations, giving some tonal differences to it. The effect is vintage.

This fabric is 55 1/4" wide. The angel with storks is about 7 1/4" wide ( 19.05 cm. ) and the crowned eagle is about 6" ( 15.24 cm. ) from the top of the crown to the bottom of the eagle. This is a light mid-weigh home decorating fabric. It has drape. It has a matt dry look and feel. It is perfect for curtains, cushions, totes, upholstery, etc.
