A Medieval fabric with crowns and English and German script, French fleur de lyse, heraldic shields, griffins, double headed eagles, lions rampant, and crowns.
A documentary script fabric! This has a background pattern with coats of arms and shields embellished with scrolling acanthus leaves. Between them are pieces of documents written in calligraphy and other styles of penmanship. Added to the background pattern are griffins, lions rampant, double headed eagles, and other baronic motifs. Super imposed over all this are large crowns with more lions rampant and fleur de lyse. The effect is of a richly patterned medieval fabric.
The background pattern is done in a very neutral olive green. The crowns and other motifs that are printed over it are a deep chocolate brown. The background is off white, a light beige with fleck.
This fabric is 56 1/4" wide. The crown with the cross is about 7 3/4" ( 19.685 cm. ) across and just under 5 1/4" ( 13.335 cm. ) tall, including the cross. This is a mid-weight home decorating fabric. It has a very textured weave, almost like a flat bark cloth.It has a matt dry look and feel. This is perfect for curtains, cushions, upholstery, totes, etc.
