This is an intriguing fabric with vertical rows of connected medallions. The medallions have scroll work surrounding a stylized leaf pattern, with finials of fleur de lyse. The space between these rows is the same shape. But, the colors on these are reversed. So there are dark rows with a light pattern, and light rows with a dark pattern.

Colors are soft shades of taupe brown, grey, gold, buff yellow, beige, and cream. Colors are over printed and scritchily applied, giving a lot of tonal variations. Depending on the light the taupe tone can look more tan or more grey. From a distance one sees light tonal tones of taupe, gold, and a pale yellow cream.
