Life sized peonies glow on this fabric. They are set off by ones done as a toile, with smaller blossoms adding charm.

Colors are shades of red, coral, pink, and peach, with charcoal, grey, and slate blue, and greens that go from very yellow green to pine, to soft sage. The background is white. There has been over-printing. The colors are layered and blended, giving many tones. From a distance one sees pinkish red and pink peonies with yellowish bosses, blooming with charcoal toile blossoms that have slate details, and the small blossoms of grey and pink. The whole is set off by the many tones of the green leaves with red highlights and slate blue leaves.
