Fall Fabrics

On Monday I awoke to the fields below the brick house
white with frost.

It is now officially fall.

I thought I would go through fabrics and take a look at some fabrics
that seem to reflect the autumn season.

FALL SCANDINAVIAN TREE FABRIC

The most obvious fall fabric is the
Fall Scandinavian tree fabric.
With its trees, leaves, and coloring,
it virtually screams fall.

Following the tree/leaf theme-
the colored embroidered leaf material comes to mind.

The leaves and stems are couched onto the
burlap toned background fabric,
using heavy thread,
and then filled with a variety of colors.
It is perfect for an accent cushion.

There are two rug patterns that have autumn coloring.

PATCHWORK RUG FABRIC

First there is the patchwork rug fabric.
This has russet and amber tones with
orange, pink, and browns.
It is a busy, colorful fabric with a smaller scale
than many of the patterns of today,
which is nice!

The Craftsman rug fabric is a classic rug pattern,
with clear colors of
yellow, orange, and red against a grey-brown background.
It has the look of a vintage rug.

The Victorian Horse Fabric also has a brown background.

While the other colors used do not say fall,
the background color does give it a fall feel.

VICTORIAN HORSE RIDING FABRIC

The modern horse hunt fabric comes in two colors.
Both seem like fall fabrics,
but the original orange/gold has more of the coloring
we think of as fall.

There are two Clarence House ikats that could be worked into
a fall decorating scheme.

The first is the pattern Valli.
This is a silk fabric that is gorgeous!
We have it in a cognac tone,
and also in rust.

The other one is Masa

One might not think of seashell fabrics for fall decorating.
But, we have two that would work.
The first is the sea fan fabric in red and orange.

RED SEA FAN CORAL FABRIC

The second is a seashell fabric.
This has large shells in autumnal tones,
highlighted with blue,
that float over a background of coral.

ORANGE RED SEA SHELL CORAL FABRIC

The fishing hunting toile fabric has a very fall look!
Fisherman and hunters are shown in a scenic patterns.
The theme and colors say fall.
It has a distressed look,
which gives this a vintage look.

We have a bit left of the Moose Mountain fabric.
This fabric brings a smile to all that see it!
It has a country cabin look,
and would make fun curtains for a child,
or would be a fun fabric for a shower curtain.

On a different note is the red chicken rooster fabric.
This has a rooster and chicken fabric
with classic architectural elements.

The leaves, trees, and berries give this a fall look,
set against a coral red background.

There are many other fabrics that are a nice addition to a room
that can give the look and feel of this season.
