Week of December 17, 2012

A week until Christmas! How exciting! I am hoping for a white Christmas, but it seems iffy.

WEDNESDAY- December 19, 2012

Two days ago we had a nice snow fall! How exciting- kids had a snow day called, and the world was beautiful. Unfortunately the temperature rose, and we have had a LOT of rain… if it had been snow we would have been buried, instead there is mud everywhere.

JUST LISTED
Two very dissimilar fabrics!
The first is a
retro pin-up girl rock and roll fabric.
This is a woven fabric, not a print.

If you love the ’50’s, you will love this fabric!

The Retro Pin-Up Fabric
is in the
Retro Fabric category.

At the other end of the pattern scale is the very classic
ocean reef toile fabric.
We carry it in other colors, but now have it in blue.

This classic ocean fabric has
shells, coral, and seahorses with delicate seaweed.
It is found in the
Reef Fabric catgory.

New post in Maine Musing

For those who don’t live near a beach-
take a walk every week as we do our Friday walk.
Even though we go to the same beach,
each walk is different,
each has it’s own focus.

As the last week before Christmas unfolds it seems as if people’s stress levels are rising.
Take a few minutes to enjoy the season!
Make a memory of happiness during this season.
Also, please take a few minutes to give thoughts and prayers to those in Connecticut.
The shooting last week was a shocking, sad thing.
Things of this nature effect us all.

SATURDAY- December 22, 2012

Yesterday it poured, and the wind really blew- the residual from the large storm in the mid-west. Branches fell, the bird feeder blew down, and lights flickered… so, no beach walk for Spot!

Today is warm, in the ’30’s, and though it is still dark out, it looks as if it will be a fair day.

This fall the Farmer’s Almanack predicted a terrible winter. Well, with January just around the corner, it has definitely not been bad so far. I am not certain it will be a white Christmas!

DESTASH PIECES

This month we have quite a few end of bolt pieces as well as some that are just oddly sized. See the fabric blog for details. And check that often over the next three days, as more will be listed daily.
