Week of September 23, 2013

Fall is upon us. And, with the change of the season has come huge changes at Brick House Fabrics. There has been so much going on it has been hard to keep up, and writing has taken a back seat to all the things that have needed attention…

As we prepare for the opening of the new retail space in the brick house, snags occur… the wrong ends for the track lighting that will augment the lighting the shop, have been shipped twice! We pulled the old porch off of the front of the house, as it was in bad shape, and we are waiting on a quote for a new roof for it… and the sign for the road seems to be on a back burner at the company. And so it goes.

On a positive note, a call came in today-
a large order of fabrics would be delivered in 1/2 hour.
And it was.

We were excited, as we were sure the new wovens, ordered in late July, before the mills in Europe closed, would be on the truck. We opened all of the rolls, and, sniff, sniff, no wovens…

But, there are three new patterns that we LOVE! Two of them are shells, and one is a retro island print. We will be getting those listed as soon as we can over the next few days.

Other rolls of fabric are new supplies of many of the popular fabrics- the blue/aqua coral and the red/orange/pink as well as the brown/grey coral. So, there is plenty of stock of those and other shell fabrics, that we were just about to run out of… so that is a good thing!

FRIDAY- September 27, 2013

Yesterday was a day of technical difficulties… phone issues, new modem, etc… it is when things like that happen that one realizes how dependent we are on electronics! Thank goodness one of us here can deal with it! Thankyou, Taber!
