Week of December 29, 2014

Well, here it is, the last of 2014. Unbelieveable, isn’t it?

MONDAY- December 29, 2014

On this Monday, with not much left of the year, thinking about what needs to be done to close out the year, and thinking of things to do to open 2015, I am struck by how much has been done this year.

Business wise we have been extremely fortunate. We opened up the new retail space. While that has taken quite a while to organize, we finally have a good working method.

We also opened up two booths at the Nobleboro Antique Exchange, where we are working with an upholsterer. We have also found good sources for people to do sewing- we have two upholsterers, three slip cover makers, four people who will do curtains, cushions, and other sewing.

We also sourced out several companies that will work with us on cut yardage for the basic fabrics- solids, checks, stripes, etc. This has been a huge undertaking, that will take the next few months to get on-line. But, we do have a method in place, now it is a matter of photographing and listing.

And, last, but not least, we have been joined by someone new! Debbie is helping with all of the organization of the store and samples, and is a God send!
