Week of October 20, 2011

Well, it snowed! We awoke to 1″ of messy, wet snow. The old leaves were poking through it. One of the earliest snow falls on record…

SUNDAY- October 30, 2011

I am glad it the storm came through last night rather than tomorrow! At least the children can enjoy Halloween! But, everyone had better have on boots and galoshes… it is just plain messy outside! And while it may have snowed, on Sunday morning I took this picture!

The end of the barn with
ivy changing color

The ivy at the end of the barn changes color from the right hand side, moving to the left. The tree at the end is an Enkianthus perulatus, which always goes a glorious peach tone.

JUST LISTED:

Three of the four new ocean fabrics!
It took us eight months, but we got them!
They are unique, and beautiful!

RED CORAL FABRIC
very unique, very bold, slightly bizaare!

SEAFAN FABRIC with DOCUMENTARY SCRIPT
An ocean fabric with a vintage look

CORAL with ANTIQUE URNS
Things from a shipwreck, with coins and documentary writing

These and two more prints all work together. There is a multi-colored shell fabric and a seahorse coral fabric, the latter is not in yet. These also come in blue, and we hope to get them up on Wednesday.

See these in the
Coral Fabric category.

TUESDAY- November 1, 2011

Our internet has been going off a lot, and the guy came to check things. Shutting things down I looked down the counter littered with papers, samples, and realized how much we are all so dependent on a plastic machine that connects to cables that scroll along the counter, down to the floor, and into the basement! How simple it was ten years ago. One got up, read the paper, and went to work. Not any more!

While the internet guy fiddled with things in the basement
I was able to get more pictures
of some of the new ocean fabrics.

Nautilus fabric

MULTI-COLORED SEASHELL FABRIC with NAUTILUS

The color blending on this is amazing!

NAUTILUS SEASHELL FABRIC in BLUE and SEA GREEN

For a more neutral look the blue and sea glass green seashell fabric
is lovely. A wonderful fabric for those that want a calm note!

ANTIQUE URNS and SEASHELLS from a SHIPWRECK

The seashell antique urn fabric has to be one of the most interesting of the fabrics that we have! Large shells, antique Roman urns, with deep sea green coral have a background of documentary script. Found coins are here and there, adding interest to the pattern.

While most are in the
Coral Fabric category,
the seashells are in with the
Seashell fabric,
naturally.

WEDNESDAY- November 2,2011

The pictures of the new blue coral fabrics were taken, but the fabrics have not been listed yet. They will go on tomorrow.

IN SHORT SUPPLY

The very lovely silvery blue and gold satin paisley fabric is down to the very last. Get it while you can, there isn’t any re-order on it.

THURSDAY- November 3, 2011

Two more of the ocean related fabrics are listed in the
Coral Fabric category

BLUE SEA FAN DOCUMENTARY PRINT

BLUE CORAL WITH SEA FAN FABRIC

While the blue colorways are not as in your face as the red they still make a powerful statement! The last one that has come in is the seahorse/coral fabric. It will get listed tomorrow. It is interesting as it has two kinds of seahorses- a cut chubby one, and a longer more slender one. Like the other fabrics in this series it is very interesting!

SATURDAY- November 11, 2011

JUST LISTED
The last of the new ocean fabrics that we have in stock! YEAH!

BLUE CORAL SEAHORSE FABRIC

The new blue coral seahorse fabric is an intriguing fabric.
Blue and white coral trees move diagonally up the fabric.
Two different seahorses are swimming between them.
This comes in a red and lime version,
They are back-ordered,
and should be in in about a month.
See these in the
Seahorse Fabric category.
