This week has been all about lace fabrics!
I like lace!
And while many think of it as something for old ladies
or Victorian settings,
I beg to differ!

The color of the week this week is tan…
not brown, not beige, tan.
Tans can be warm or cool,
moving along the color spectrum from more blue to more yellow.
So, when choosing a tan, it is really important to get a sample
to review it in your own light,
to make certain it is going to give the wanted effect.
Below are some of the tans we have.
Orange is an interesting color.
I think it is one of those colors that one either is attracted to or repelled by, when used for home decorating. I really don’t know anyone who is indifferent to it- who could take it or leave it-when used for that purpose.

Well, this winter has been a roller coaster ride, as far as weather is concerned. Swings of 40 degrees in twelve hour periods. A day of low temps followed by highs in the 50’s. People are running around in shorts one day, and heavy winter jackets the next. The last week has exemplified this trend.
I love walking along the ocean.
In the winter,
if it is above 20 degrees F, at the house,
and if the wind is not blowing,
I like to go for a beach walk.
On Saturday, the 7th, I checked the tide-
it would be low in the early afternoon.
As that is usually the warmest part of the day,
I headed down to Pemaquid beach around 1 pm.
